Trail Conditions
Notes
The route to Lye Brook Falls is now 100% free of snow and ice. Some mud and standing/running water around the midway point, but conditions were otherwise dry. The waterfall itself was spectacular and always worth a visit this time of year. NOTE: Lye Brook Falls is mainly fed by spring snowmelt, and with a good chunk of the snow at elevations above it already gone, the window to see it in its proper glory is winding down, and once all the snow is gone, the fall will basically be a trickle unless there's a long stretch of heavy rain.
Parking
Room for about a dozen vehicles in the actual parking spots at the Lye Brook Trailhead. Roadside parking is possible to a point- heed any "No Parking" signs
Water Crossings
All rock hoppable, although the first one can be tricky in high water conditions.
Wildlife
Starting to come out more than on Mother Myrick earlier in the day due to the spike in temperature. No biting bugs yet, but it's only a matter of time...
