Notes

Trail started off easy with a small herd path but covered with raspberry plants which I was glad to wear pants. Once at 450 it was easy to get to Boundary with the boarder just wet at the beginning. Saw a couple moose on the boarder path. Onto White Cap followed a herd path but lost it and bushwacked it to the top and then a better path was present to N. Kennebago and a path back down to the road was also there but faint.

Parking

Made the drive all the way to the top of Porter Brook road, a higher clearance vehicle is needed to make it to the end.

Wildlife

Barely noticed any at all. Just at where I parked while getting ready.

Appalachian Trail

Trail Conditions

Dry Trail

Notes

Great views and a beautiful trail! Saw one person who was hiking sobo as I was descending, they didnt have a vehicle at the trailhead so I assume they were doing a through hike of some sort. Lean too looked clean and in good shape, water is flowing.

Parking

High clearance vehicle needed to get to the gate. About .25-.5 miles before the last bridge the road seems almost washed out. Really rocky/lopsided road. Then about 1.5-2miles before the AT trailhead right after this rocky section the bridge is damaged and marked closed. There's a redirect to the right, again high clearance vehicles only, you have to go through a stream and its quite rutted throughout the route around. THEN there are exposed and/or collapsed culverts (but that feels minor after the bridge). Otherwise the first 10 miles on Frenchtown rd were relatively smooth going.
